Tuition, Billing & Clinical Policies

Effective Date: June 2026

At Limestone Reading, we provide specialized, evidence-based reading intervention. Because successfully rewiring the neurological pathways required for fluent reading requires consistent, sustained practice, our clinic operates on an ongoing, year-round schedule with rolling admissions.

We operate on a professional appointment model. Your child’s twice-weekly clinical time slots are reserved exclusively for them for the duration of their enrolment.

1. Getting Started: No Bloated Assessments, Just Progress

Many traditional reading clinics force families to pay hundreds of dollars for a grueling, multi-hour diagnostic assessment before your child ever receives a single minute of actual help. Let’s be honest—asking a frustrated seven-year-old to sit through hours of clinical testing isn’t just expensive, it’s exhausting for them. It breeds anxiety before they even start. We don’t believe in institutional bloat or gatekeeping diagnostics that delay your child’s development.

At Limestone Reading, there are no massive upfront assessment fees or intimidating test days. Your child’s very first session serves as our intake interview, an informal diagnostic evaluation, and their first actual working lesson. We figure out exactly where the learning roadblocks are in real-time, adapt our approach on the fly, and start moving the needle immediately in an environment that feels like a win, not an interrogation. Let’s get to work!

2. Tuition & Program Structure

We welcome new families at any time throughout the year, provided a clinical opening is available. Please feel free to reach out to us to check for openings, or even just to ask a question not covered here.

To provide families with predictable monthly budgeting and eliminate complex calendar math, we utilize a flat-rate monthly tuition model. Your monthly bill is a steady, predictable flat rate based on an average of 8 sessions per month.

  • Clinical Session Rate: $95 per 50-minute session
  • Frequency: 2 reserved sessions per week
  • Flat Monthly Tuition: $760 / month

3. Predictable Pricing: How the Monthly Math Works

We do not believe in surprise bills or nickeling-and-diming families during longer months. The flat-rate model is designed to be a balanced and fair for you, over the course of the year. Here’s a look out how this works, in general:

  • The Long Months (Your Bonus): Several months of the year contain 5 weeks, meaning your child may receive 9 or 10 sessions in those months.
We do not charge you extra for these bonus sessions.
  • The Holiday Months (The Balance): A few months of the year contain major statutory holidays or our scheduled winter and summer clinic closures, meaning your child may receive 6 or 7 sessions in those months.
  • The Fair Wash: The bonus sessions you receive for free in the long months completely offset the shorter holiday months. Over the course of your child’s enrolment, the math balances out perfectly to a fair, predictable $95 per session.

What if I join mid-month or right before a holiday?

If you enrol your child mid-month, or during a month with a scheduled major clinic closure (like late December), your first month’s invoice is automatically pro-rated. You will only pay for the exact face-to-face sessions your child receives during their introductory month. Your standard flat-rate tuition will simply begin on the 1st of the following full month.

4. The Timeline: How Long Will We Do Lessons?

The most common question parents ask is, “How long is this commitment, and when do we graduate?” We believe in giving you a transparent financial and time roadmap from day one, so you can plan effectively.

Because reading intervention involves building completely new neural pathways for decoding text, it requires sustained momentum. For a child who is significantly behind grade level, a realistic timeline to full graduation and complete classroom integration is typically 9 to 18 months of twice-weekly coaching.

  • Phase 1 (Months 1–3): Breaking the Fever. We focus entirely on burning down bad habits (like visual guessing), stabilizing individual sounds, and mastering basic left-to-right blending.
  • Phase 2 (Months 4–8): The Codebreaker. We introduce advanced structural formulas, syllable-slicing strategies, and specialized tools to tackle longer, unfamiliar words logically.
  • Phase 3 (Months 9–18): The Great Catch-Up. We move away from basic accuracy and focus entirely on reading automaticity and processing speed, bridging the gap to their actual school textbooks.

We do not believe in keeping your child enroled a single day longer than necessary. Our goal is to make them entirely self-sufficient so that they can graduate from our program and ride the wave of normal classroom development alongside their peers.

5. Billing: Automated Logistics

To maintain our focus on clinical care rather than administrative paperwork, all accounts are managed through a third-party secure clinical platform, which runs Stripe.

  • Payment Schedule: Tuition is billed automatically on the 1st day of every month for the upcoming month.
  • Payment Methods: A credit card is securely kept on file inside your private parent portal on the Stripe payment site.
  • Receipts: Itemized receipts are automatically emailed to you on the 1st of the month for your financial, tax, or insurance records.

6. Sickness, Absence & Cancellations

Because we reserve a dedicated clinician and a specific clinical room exclusively for your child, consistency is a shared responsibility. Our policy is designed to protect your family’s budget while respecting our clinicians’ scheduled time.

Cancellations with More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

If your child must miss a session due to illness, travel, or a school event, and you log into the portal to notify us at least 24 hours in advance:

  • The Solution: The financial value of that missed session ($95) will be automatically applied as a tuition credit on your next month’s invoice.
  • The Cap: To protect the clinical momentum required for the program to work, these preventative tuition credits are capped at a maximum of four (4) sessions per calendar year.

Late Cancellations (Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice)

If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if a student does not attend a scheduled session:

  • The Policy: The session is forfeited, and no financial credit or makeup session will be issued.
  • Why this exists: Last-minute cancellations do not allow us enough time to offer the clinical slot to a family on our waitlist, and your clinician has already invested the time to prepare your child’s custom lesson plan for that hour.

Clinic Cancellations

In the rare event that your clinician must cancel a session due to illness or emergency, we will first attempt to schedule a makeup session. If a makeup cannot be arranged, a full $95 credit will be automatically applied to your next month’s invoice.

7. Pausing or Ending Services

Enrolment is entirely month-to-month. While reading intervention yields the best results over a sustained period, you are never locked into a long-term contract.

  • 30-Day Notice: To discontinue or pause your child’s enrolment, we require 30 days’ written notice prior to your next monthly billing cycle.
  • Final Sessions: Any scheduled automated payments falling within that 30-day window will process as normal, and your child is entitled and encouraged to attend all remaining reserved sessions during that final month to ensure a proper clinical wrap-up.

Policy & Rate Modifications

Limestone Reading reviews its clinical policies and tuition rates annually to ensure we continue providing the highest quality of evidence-based care. We reserve the right to modify these policies.

Our Promise to Enrolled Families: Any changes to tuition rates or core attendance policies will never be applied retroactively or without warning. Existing families will always be provided with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice via email before any adjustments take effect, allowing you ample time to review your options.
