How It Works & What is Needed
Lessons are 50 minutes of focused, one-to-one instruction. While I recommend twice per week to build steady momentum, we can completely customize the frequency to fit around your family’s camping trips, vacations, and summer plans.
To run a successful session, I don’t need a fancy classroom setup. I just need:
- A kitchen or dining table wide enough for us to sit comfortably side-by-side.
- A relatively quiet space free from major background distractions (like loud TVs or screens).
I bring everything else—all customized learning materials are provided.
A Note for Parents and Guardians
You are more than welcome to remain in the room and quietly listen to our sessions. In fact, seeing the progress firsthand can be incredibly encouraging.
I just ask that during the actual 50-minute lesson, you let me take the wheel on the learning process. If your child needs a behavioral redirection, I will naturally defer to you as the parent. But when it comes to sounding out words, self-correcting mistakes, and wrestling with the text, I need it to be a direct, one-on-one guided experience between the student and me. I promise the results will be worth it.
